Access
What you will need to do...
Set up a new modem account.
1. Go into Start/Programs/Accessories/Communications/Dial Up
Networking (Windows 98) or Start/Settings/Dial Up Networking (Windows ME). (location may differ depending on operating system.)
2. Double click Add New Connection
3. Type in a name for the connection, such as RevilloC.
4. The area code type in 0845 in the telephone number, type
0515587. Click Next
5. Click finish.
6. When you then dial up using it, you will need to add the
new username/password. This is... revilloc.com and revilloc.com. You can save the
password.
To set up internet explorer to use this connection by default,
you need to go into internet explorer.
1. Click Tools/Internet Options.
2. Click the Connections tab.
3. Select the new connection we have just created (i.e. RevilloC). Click Set
as Default.
4. Click OK.
Configure your outgoing email. Incoming email will not be
affected. This applies if you are not using a proxy server for your outgoing
email.
1. Go into Outlook Express.
2. Click Tools/Accounts.
3. Click the Mail tab
The following steps need to be done for each
account.
4. Double click each email account in turn.
5. Click the
servers tab
6. In
the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) type in smtp.virtelco.com
7. Click OK.
Once all
accounts modified, click Close.
Once you have your free account, you
could use our free mailserver to collect all your emails and store
your outgoing emails (for your home network) until the next time you
go on-line. The mailserver also contains a web proxy, so that your
whole network can surf the internet as well. Check it out here
